LMA Principle #4 Reach Out to the Body for Help. In many ways this is why Jesus built the Church: to be the ultimate support group. In many instances it is; but 'self-righteousness and legalist attitudes'hinder the 'proper attitude' required to be a 'mentor/sponsor'. Seek others in the ' Body that are'accepting and forgiving' and have similar problems (ie addictions and compulsions). Look for others in the ‘Body of Christ’ that have similar ‘issues’ (shortcomings/character defects) as you……avoid ‘self-righteous folks with legalist attitudes’; follow the lead of the ‘Holy Spirt’……you will ‘know’ when you find the right person….. Proverbs 12:26 (TPT) Lovers of God give good advice to their friends, but the counsel of the wicked will lead them astray. Godly people will give Godly advice…….The Spirit will connect you with these people in the ‘Body of Christ’…… Enough said……
