LMA Seven Principles LMA Principle #5 Stop Being Pushed Around by Fear and Guilt Fear, guilt, and shame undermine more efforts to overcome addictions and compulsions than almost any other issue. Also, holding resentments toward others is known as the #1 offender by the 12-Step Program (as in number one thing that leads to relapse). God (Father, Son, and Spirit) will provide help and hope with these problems. Romans 5:1-2 “Our faith in Jesus transfers God’s righteousness to us and he now declares us flawless in his eyes. This means we can now enjoy true and lasting peace with God, all because of what our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, has done for us. Our faith guarantees us permanent access into this marvelous kindness that has given us a perfect relationship with God. What incredible joy bursts forth within us as we keep on celebrating our hope of experiencing God’s glory!” We can ‘STOP’ being pushed around by fear and guilt…..we can let go of our ‘resentments’ and move forward in our Recovery/Spiritual Growth. We have hope with in us (Jesus lives in us)…. He is always here and never leaves us nor forsakes us……’we are flawless in His eyes’…… 1 Thessalonians 3:13 (TPT) Then your hearts will be strengthened in holiness so that you may be flawless and pure before the face of our God and Father at the appearing of our Lord Jesus with all his holy ones. Amen! We are ’flawless and pure’ before our God (Father-Son-Spirit)……..may our hearts ‘BE’ strengthened in Christ…. Enough said……
